It Keeps Rainin'

ITFC v Leeds August 24th 2013
For some reason Sharon let Max have her season ticket for this game, strange decision I thought at the time, but on reflection possibly not! Once again we looked good in the first half, had a goal disallowed, took the lead, hit the bar, then Leeds equalised when a deflected shot fell to Luke Varney.
Second half Ross McCormack scored with a deflected shot that went under Scott Loach after only four minutes. Another three points slip away.

Leeds in town equals large police presence

Miserable scoreline, miserable afternoon

Almost 1,900 Leeds fans going home happy
Ipswich 1-2 Leeds
McGoldrick 12      Varney 28

Attendance: 18,322

The playlist It Keeps Rainin' by Fats Domino - It rained for most of the day and overnight. The only good thing was that it softened up the pitch for Borussia Martlesham's first ever league match at Humber Doucy Lane the next day, which they won 3-2 (Dale scored the winning goal in case you didn't know!)

Pyscho Killer

QPR v ITFC August 17th 2013
We got the train for this one and made a day of it in London

First good news of the day, they've replaced Michael Chopra's face with Bluey - I wonder if he'll ever wake up to find a horse's head in his bed?

Max, Joe, Ben & Arun all out on the sauce

New shoes for the gym - black & yellow Puma's
"Met a mush in Shepherds Bush"

'Do you wanna make tea at the BBC?"

ITFC team bus

We were going to meet the lads for a drink in the Walkabout, Shepherds Bush, but somehow missed it. We did consider this one but it was packed and for home fans only

Loftus road really is squeezed in, no room for expansion

The weather is still good - Summer clothes!

More horses

The away fans entrance - nice!

Gutted lost one nil - felt robbed

A few QPR fans wanted to get at the Ipswich fans after the game, they must have been my age - over fifty!

Post match, post mortem in Shepherds Bush

Beers & bets

We left the boys and went to Brick Lane for a curry and of course a Cobra
QPR 1-0 Ipswich
Hitchcock 90
Attendance: 17,705

The play list
Psycho Killer by Talking Heads - When substitute Tom Hitchcock came on with seven minutes remaining, the 1800 strong Ipswich fans sang "Who are ya?" When he scored at the death we all knew. It was enough to make you want to take a shower and hide behind the curtain!
