Hungry Like The Wolf

ITFC v Yeovil September 17th 2013

The first midweek game of the season under the Portman Road floodlights was a damp affair with rain falling throughout the game.
I met Max & Paul at the Greyhound for prematch beers where there was plenty of optimism for a comfortable home win. As it turned out newly promoted Yeovil were a decent team and they took a first half lead into the break courtesy of a long range shot from Joel Grant, who had been an Ipswich target in the summer.
In truth we were the better team and once Daryl Murphy bundled in an equaliser there was only one winner. Aaron
Cresswell, who is beginning to look like a very good footballer got the winner on the hour mark. Two home wins in four days has catapulted us up the league table to eleventh place.

Summer is definitely over
A miserable night for football

Stuck in a Moment You Can’t Get Out Of

ITFC v Middlesborough September 14th 2013

We travelled back from France a day early on Friday the thirteenth so that I could go to the match (Sharon wasn't that bothered about it). Luckily it proved to be a good decision, although after fifteen minutes I was beginning to question why I had bothered! One nil down and looking likely to concede at any moment we somehow managed to get into the game and finished the first half on level terms.
Another two goals followed in the second half and in fairness the scoreline was a little harsh on a decent 'boro side.
To cap a good afternoon I managed to leap up the TWTD's prediction league getting both the correct result and first Town goals scorer.

Martin O'Neil has already got the job according to Big Mick, but don't rule him out just yet!
